What’s your ski / sb background:

My snowboarding background is I’ve been freestyle snowboarding for 13 years. Started competing at Gunstock Mountain rail jams. Later on I joined GFA where I was able to learn so much more about the sport and the fundamentals of freestyle snowboarding. I was able to do well in the regional events and qualify and compete at USASA Nationals in 2019 for all three of my events (Halfpipe, Slopestyle, and Rail Jam) 

What’s your favorite part of GFA?

:My favorite part about GFA was having an environment to learn about the sport with such great people. I made such good friends while I was in the program that I would look forward to seeing every weekend at practice and events. 

What are your accomplishments as a coach?

:This will be my first year officially coaching but I have taught one of my friends how to snowboard and I taught him the freestyle aspect as well. I was particularly proud seeing him land his first 360 and board slide! 

Whats something you bring as a coach?

As a coach: 

I bring a positive attitude everyday, and also carry the experience with me of what it’s like to be an Athlete in the program who wants to progress in the sport. I understand the importance of progression and starting slow and working your way up. I’m excited to give back some of the knowledge I have to the next wave of Snowboarders.
