Comp Team Coach Max

Coach Max has been with us as both a competition athlete and as a coach.   As an athlete he was frequently on podiums in the most competitive and biggest brackets in NH.  He led the comp team last season. When not coaching skiing he’s a semi-pro DH MTN biker or coaching at Highland Bike Park.

Hello, my name is Max Abrams, I am twenty years old and this will be my third year coaching at GFA. Before I started coaching I was a progression athlete for a year, then a comp team athlete for two years and I even went to USASA nationals at Copper in 2019 for rail jam, slopestyle and ski cross. Outside of skiing, I spend my summers racing downhill mountain bikes, and building bike trails for work. My favorite part of GFA is the community that it’s been able to build at Gunstock, whether you a GFA athlete or not, we are very welcoming when it comes to making progression in the park. My greatest strength as a coach is my ability to identify and athletes strengths and being able to help them play into them. That was a little bit about me, I look forward to getting out there on the slopes with you all soon!
